Abstrak

Parents' self-acceptance of children with special needs is a very important aspect in supporting children's development and welfare. Children with special needs are children who experience physical, mental, social or emotional abnormalities or disabilities that hinder their growth and development. The aim of this research is to analyze parents' self-acceptance of children with special needs by reviewing various previous studies. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive data. The research design is a literature study, with data sources from various studies related to parental acceptance of children with special needs. Data was collected through documentation from eight journal articles accessed via Google Scholar. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques. The research results show that there are five stages that parents who have children with special needs go through: denial, anger, depression, bargaining, and acceptance.
