THE RELATIONSHIP OF SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE WITH STUDENTS' LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN CLASS VII SCIENCE SUBJECTS AT SMP NEGERI 1 PURWOREJO

This research aims to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and student learning achievement in class VII science subjects at SMP N 1 Purworejo. This research is quantitative research that is correlative in nature. The population in this study was class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Purworejo, totaling 193 students with a sample of 33 students determined using a purposive sampling technique. The measuring instruments used are a spiritual intelligence scale and a learning achievement scale prepared using the Likert scale method and pure PSAT scores for science subjects for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection methods use observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis method uses product moment correlation. The hypothesis in this research is to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and science learning achievement. The results of the hypothesis are that there is a significant positive relationship between spiritual intelligence and science learning achievement, the product moment correlation value based on the questionnaire is 0.738, while the product moment correlation value based on pure PSAT scores is 0.407. The results of this study state that the effective contribution (R²) made by spiritual intelligence to science learning achievement based on a questionnaire is 0.545 (55%) and based on pure PSAT scores is 0.166 (17%). Meanwhile, the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
