Abstrak
The background to this research is that the reading interest of group B children is still low. This is proven by the children being more interested in factory toys than reading books and the children feel bored quickly due to the lack of interaction between teachers and students when books are read to them. Based on this, this research aims to increase children's ability to read aloud through the Read Aloud method for TKIT group B children in the 2023/2024 academic year. Research on improving learning in increasing children's interest in reading through the read aloud method uses the type of classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out on TKIT Zaid bin Tsabit children totaling 15 students as research subjects. The research was carried out in 3 stages, the pre-cycle stage , cycle 1 and cycle 2. The data taken to determine the success of learning is from observation and documentation during learning. The results of research in the pre-cycle show an average success rate of 26.62%, the average success rate of cycle 1 is 60%. This has not yet reached the criteria limit that the researcher will achieve, which is ≥ 75%. The results of the 2nd cycle of action obtained an average success of 89.95%. This means that the research target is to increase children's interest in reading in group B at the IT Zaid bin Tsabit Kindergarten through the reading aloud method ( read aloud) has been achieved.
