DEVELOPING KINESTHETIC INTELLIGENCE THROUGH ENGKLEK GAMES IN CHILDREN AGED 5-6 YEARS AT KINDERGARTEN PERTIWI TAMPIRKULON 2 TAMPIRKULON, CANDIMULYO, MAGELANG FOR THE 2023/2024 SCHOOL YEAR

This research is motivated by gross motor activities that are carried out before the core activities outside the classroom are only movement exercises and songs, occasionally children are invited to play throwing and catching balls. These motor activities do not utilize the strength of the leg muscles or body balance. Therefore, it is necessary to have an activity that can train kinesthetic intelligence. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of kinesthetic intelligence development through the traditional game of engklek and to determine the effectiveness of the game of engklek in developing kinesthetic intelligence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects in this study are 18 students of Pertiwi Tampirkulon 2 Kindergarten aged 5-6 years Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the successful presentation of balance and strength aspects was 88.9% and the agility presentation was 83.3%.
